What model Shimano rod Michael? Whats it rated for? Love my Shimano Sensilite rated for 1-4 #test .Great stream Trout rod as well as panfish rod! Have an UL Plueger President reel also .It's a great match.
plueger makes some good reels, what model is the rod
my rod is rated 1 to 6 pounds, like to find other one just like mine but with a fast or xtra fast action
Checked out my gear again _ the Ugly Stick is a 5' rated for 2-6#test but I dont think its a good 2# test rod .Not thin and sensitive enough at the tip for less aggressive fish.Matched with 4# test,a Daiwa Spinmatic 500TUL reel and 1/8th -1/4 oz. spinners ,cranks or spoons I really enjoy using it and it catches fish! Plus ,it's a two piece which has its advantages as a pack rod as opposed to the one piece 5'6" Shimano Sensilite.
i have caught alot of gills on the ugly stick they last for ever and is very tuff rods
i know what u mean finally getting a good rod, i just wish my was fast action
I have something like that. It's a 1970s 5' Nightcrawler Secrets rod, like it a lot. Still often use the Shakespear reel I bought to go with it. Light enough for panfish to be fun, but tough enough that I'm not scared if I hook into a bass.
