My fishing hat now swims with the fishes in Skiatook Lake.

I'm not really that broken up about it.  I was thinking about replacing it anyway.

I know a certain HBG obsessed nimrod from Indiana who lost a spud bar down through the ice while testing his way out..... you know those things DO have a wrist strap, genius..........

I don't know how many pair of polarized sunglasses I've sent to the bottom. Again, they have a strap also.....

Sorry bout' your hat, Allen.

I hate when things like that happen

Yeah, crap like that happens. I'm sure it was a nice hat; but there are other hats.
At least you didn't lose your mind, right?

I think my mind flew the coup a long, long, time ago.  Why else would someone get into fly fishing and tying their own flies?

Good point. My own mind, then, is right behind yours. :-P

I didn't mention it, but the day I lost my hat, I managed to get a little sunburn on my forehead and nose.

As of this morning, let the peeling begin......
