Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I realize it is a contradiction  to say cane pole rod and reel, maybe cane rod and reel is more accurate.  I've seen advertised in a magazine  a rod made from solid, unsplit river cane.  It has a rod-type handle and eyes as well as a reel seat.  Can anyone provide info or a link to this rod.  I suspect that my Sore Lip'em rod will continue to be my favorite but I would like to fish with a rod such as this when I'm not using a cane pole.

I've never seen 'gills the size that I see here.  You've raised the bar!

I fished a can pole (no reel at all just line and a float (Bobber) in Michigan... suitable for the size of fish there...  rarely over 6 inches... but not here in California... Bluegill 10" PLUS and a cane pole ... not a good idea... when you are catching fish that powerful you need a reel with an excellent drag system or forget it...
