Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Nothing really spectacular.  Just caught a bunch of Sunnies; got pics of four of them.  The Warmouth (really odd-looking dark fish) was a surprise.  There are some BIG shellcrackers and green sunnies in this lake, but I didn't get any of them.  Gotta take my kayak out here sometime soon to get to them.

What size lake is Bristow & how far from Tulsa is it?

Jump on 44 and head towards OkC.  It's about 12 or 14 miles past the Kellyville Exit. Get off on the exit for Bristow, turn left on 66 and head into town.  You'll turn right on 7th St, I believe.  Just look for the signs for the City park, Library, and Police Dept. on the traffic signal.  Turn right.  Follow that road until you hit the hospital.  You'll go through an intersection, but the road will turn 45 degrees to the left at the intersection.  Follow it around the Hospital.  City pool will be on the right.  Keep going, you'll see the lake.

The lake itself is roughly 10 acres, about 21' deep in the main basin, and relatively clear.  No permit needed, just a State license.  Boats are allowed, speed limit 5 mph on the water.  No juglines.

I enjoyed it Allen....I'm going to start adding videos soon....I'm prepping and testing my gear to get things like I want before I upload.......

I still need to get a camera mount for my yak.  I actually built one out of PVC, but have since lost it.  I'll probably just drop down the money for a camera tripod and zip-tie it to the back of my crate.  Of course, I need a remote for the camera, and maybe some extra batteries as well.
