Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

With such a response to the tenkara post i figured i would just share what the most lethal fly i use with my tenkara (i have the 11 ft iwana been fishing gills with tenkara for about 2.5 years). The Bluegill Bully fly is the best producer for big gills IMO. If you look at how the kebari flies are tied for tenkara the reverse hackle is used as an extra form of movement to the fly and the twitch method is how its best fished. Now look at the Bully fly..its sorta like a amped up rubber legged kebari and when you twitch it the gills come running. Just my opinion, hope its helpful for all the tenkara anglers out there. Tight lines!!

Thanks for the fly. Love the tenkara method since it's so easy to fish  dry, nymphs and software hackles.

Is Bluegill Bully the same thing as Bully's Bluegill Spider? I keep hoping for some free time to try to tie some and try them out :p

what is a bluegill bully? do you have a pic or recipie for it?

The best tutorial is on youtube but there are plenty of websites with it if you just google it
