This seems closest to Boise, but you can check online the Idaho Fish and game:

Thanks. I'll be sure to keep that in mind!
i dont know the laws in your state or that state about fishing licences so try to find that out and see about any. go to google earth or maps on google and type up where you live and near the top it should have map, satalite, terain. click on map and almost all the bodies of water will be blue. i go up to 25 miles to go fishing and takes about 20-30 mins. theres also a measurment thing at the botom left of the map if you never used it before. you also need to find out if you need a licence there or not. yellowstone is a National Park in Wyoming. i hope this was helpfull.
It appears to be a 4 1/2 hour drive from Boise to the Yellowstone Territory. And they have only fly fishing. Do you fly fish Sarah?

Scenic Drives
Fly Fishing
With the Snake River winding throughout this region, Eastern Idaho fly fishing is the most highly acclaimed of all water adventures.
With hundreds of miles of dramatic rivers, people from across the globe travel to Eastern Idaho to experience "blue ribbon" fly fishing. From the most avid outdoors-man to dignitaries, fly fishing in Eastern Idaho is second to none. Occasional fly fishing tournaments and national exposure is not uncommon to Eastern Idaho's fly fishing rivers.
Plan on spending some time in Eastern Idaho to experience fly fishing the two forks of the Snake, the Henry's Fork and the South Fork, or try some of the smaller rivers such as the Teton, Fall River, Warm River, or the Buffalo; all within an easy drive of each other.
Area fly fishing outfitters are recognized as some of the best. Having fished Eastern Idaho's waters for many years, they know what to use and where to catch 'em. Come and experience for yourself fly fishing at it's finest.
I do both. Fly fishing and spincasting. At first I thought it was an hour and a half from boise. At yellowstone you can only use barbless hooks and no keepnig fish. The snake river has a huge chinook festival where people from all over come to fish. THANKS A LOT!
