Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

i know i am opening a can of worms(no pun intended).but having chased the mighty gill with fly and rod for over fifty yrs. i thought i would ask all of you the pointed question.
if you could only fish one fly for gills what would it be,or in other words what is your most productive gill fly.

my most productive fly for gills would have to be the morrisfoam predator by skip m orris. i tie this fiy also the same as chris helm in his dvd "panfish flies that work"
John , I just found the preditor. I think you just solved the sinking cricket delimma. Thank you.
Greg
You did open a can of worms, my friend. If'n I only had one fly to use it would be an egg-sucking leach. Black with a chartruess head. It will catch fish and IT IS FUN TO SAY!!!!!!!!!! I have one posted on my page.
How about it Mr. Shooter, If you could use only one what would it be.
dragonfly nymph hands down ,i catch more fish on this type of fly then any other. the great thing about the dragon is you do not have to be a pro at tying to produce a productive fly.
i tie several variations,of this fly . color is the key, although green and brown seem to work best for me.
here is a link to some simple ,but productive dragons,(http://www.nsfa-adventures.com/STEP_BY_STEP_FLIES_DRAGONFLY_NYMPH_V...)

Hey Shooter, awsome link. thank you.
Hey Shooter, finally got the dragon fly nymph in the water, I can see why it a favorite. That thing looks great in the water, but no takes. Switched to a egg sucking leach ( black with chartrues egg) one 15 inch trout. Got to get them d#%& trout out of my blue gill lake. Fixin to make a black nymph with chartrues duck flank wings. I believe in this fly just got to get it to my favorite color combo.
I would have to say the Mister Twister Exude Nymph, Moss Green color has been my most successful bluegill bait on the fly rod.
Tim, not heard of this nymph. What is the mister twister exude nymph. Any pics and or recipes?
Gregg,

Take a look at my blog post on 10-22-09, it shows a picture of the rig I use.
Can you post a pick of the popper?
Size and recipe please.
i do not fish poppers,my topwater flies are all sliders( ie,sneaky pete ) i use closed cell foam for the heads on these flies.
they have less resistance and are easy to roll cast,i fish under timber(trees) and the roll cast is a must.
