Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Near Conrow Tx. A man noticed a ball floating and bouncing strangely and went to investigate.

This flat head catfish had tried to swallow the ball and couldn't spit it back out!!!!!

Everytime the fish would try to go under, the ball would float him back to the surface!!! He was exhausted!!!

The man got him over to the boat!!!!

The ball was lodged and he puctured the ball, letting the fish go free!!!!!

Moral of the story, size your popper for the size of your fish just in case they take it!!!!

Be kind to your targets, after all we all bite off more than we can Chew, sometimes

Steve, You just need a really big hook, and the biggest flip-flop you can find, maybe several!!!!

Jen, If you are in your kick boat the fish is landable, with the 2 wt.!!! Although casting the popper that size could pose a problem!!!!!!

I don't think I wanna catch anything that big on my 2wt flyrod. Kudos to the man that helped him!
