Allowing a young person to fish for bass until they are good at it or sick of it is the only cure for fishing youth. When they mature, they will find their way back to the bluegill.

As you all saw..I marked BIG X's on my calendar next month..in the meantime, I'm lookin for a special place to take me, myself, the pink fishing pole and the Boogieman special to try out! I'm ready..can't go with my son, he--like many other of the male species--is too impatient for bream fishing! Plus he will be in school that Friday anyway!

When I say the one I got works good, I'm saying it works like LOFR has often said it does. You really can tell if a bluegill licks your cricket just by watching the float tip a couple of degrees. Half of what I caught were tippers. My store bought quills do the same thing, they just ain't as special as one from His Lordship. Now LOFR actually uses his with a fly rod. I haven't mastered the casting with it yet. Plus, on my Crimson Pole, it's just so up close and personal, ferget them fly flappers.

The artist/craftsman, His Lordship, has informed me the top of the Boogieman Special Quill is the same color as my pole, Crimson. What color was the one you got Greg? The one I got works good too. How well does your's work? After I started running low on crickets, I tried "fly flappin" for about an hour.
I caught one. It was boring. After awhile I crawled around on the boat and caught some escapee crickets and got back to some "real" fishing. Speaking of escapee crickets, did Betty Grable ever come back?

I'm so glad they performed to your high expectations and standards, it is the next thing to using a net on them. Now we have to get Christine to go get that big one with a Boogieman Special, and I'll be happy! Congradulations on a great catch.
