Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Anyone have suggestions? And what is the next thing to try? Fish not biting, changed hooks multiple times.
How is fishing at Shakeamac, Indiana?

I use a ultralight reel on a 6 1/2" fiberglass rod, (more play when that gill turns his slab side towards you) . Using #6 hook below a slip bobber for easy depth changes I put on either waxies, redworms or crickets. Fish the drops, starting shallow and going deeper till you hit them. This works on any lake I have been on.

I like to use 14 ft pole, light line, no. 10 hook and tiny float! Fish deeper around any covers like fallen tree, bottom of edge of weedbed, rocks, etc! One red worm or two maggots!

I formed a new group for you guys to join if you want to make it more efficient to talk about your region. :-)

Microjigs and a spring bobber. That spring bobber will detect bites you never would have known otherwise.
