Todd Overton of Texas is a fish raising specialist. He has isolated some really exceptional coppernose bluegill broodstock. Note the beautiful white and/or orange fin bordering.
When I was in Florida and I caught bluegills. I noticed that bluegills look little different than Illinois bluegills until I learned about coppernose. I must be caught bluegills is coppernose in Florida. I wondered, how far north that Coppernose can live?
Wow! Beautiful fish, man! Isn't the coppernose, or copperhead, strain of bluegill a southern thing, likeFlorida and maybe the Santee Cooper system in S.C.? Seems like I saw an InFisherman segment a number of seasons back and the fish looked very much like these here. Jim
