The Fly Fishing choas

It was one of my regular saturdays and I decided to go fly fishing. So I packed my gear up and headed out for a good day of fishing I hope.

As I arrived at the lake which I cant tell you, but as I got there I realized that there was an Inperticular log in the water were I have'nt seen it there before. But I didnt fret I saw it as an oppertunity to catch maybe a Crappie or even a Bluegill, because those are the the fish species target the most.

I cast out to the log and as soon as it hits the water it gets slammed by a nice sized fish which turned out to be a nice but small bluegill which was pertty exciting knowing that I caught the first fish of the day.

I casted back out there to see if another fish would hit and would;nt you know it, another fish hit and it was pulling very hard. But as an avid Bluegill and Crappie fisherman I figured that it would be a fairly nice sized Crappie but as I fought it I realized that it realy was'nt fighting like a Crappie but something a little bit stronger and slightly better.

The strange fish started to fight harder and harder when all of a sudden ti jumps and just to solve the mysterios species of fish I realized that it was a yearling Bass. So as soon as it jumped it spit the fly right at me and in ahh of what I saw, I just shoke that of and continued to fish, But as an resolt of the commotion of the Bass jumping everywhere, it must of scared the other fish off of around the semi-sumerged log.

Later that day I decided to stop targetiong stomps and go for the rocks and the sandy bottom areas to hoefully find some nice Crappies and Bluegill. When I finally got there, which I had to walk a half a mile to get ot my most active spots most of the time.

I casted out around some sumerged rocks that you can see in the water and aroungd some wollaw trees. So I casted out and let the fly sink for about maybetow to three feet when I stated to strip the fly in I could see adark object which seemed to look like a Bluegill and somewhat of a yearling Bass.

As I was fighting the fish in up and down and around the welloe trees and the focks. I thought I was going to lose the fish but I held on to the fish to fullest lenght.

The fish lept out of the water and thats when I realized that it was a Bluegill and that shocked me because its not that often that I get to see a Bluegill jump as high and as long as this one did.

As soon as I landed the bluegill, I realized that it was getting dark and because the lake closes at 8: 35 and when I looked at the time on my clock it was 8: 00 so I packed up my gear and headed back to the truck and headed home fot the dy. Came out with a little over 10 Bluegill and 1 Bass not to bad, not to bad at all.

keep fishing. keep fishing hard. ~ Tobias
