Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

My wife's first fly fishing outing....

Well here we go off on  our grand adventure to a small local lake.

the adventure being my wife and her "new" vintage fly rod/reel.

I had planned to begin teaching her basic casting in the back yard but NOOOOOOOOO....... She wants to dive right in.

She says she's watched me do it for years and believes she already knows what to do.

  I'm suddenly very afraid.....

My daughter is still learning after a year, she is only leaving 10-12 bugs/poppers in the trees! ah well foam is cheap!

First time out and no one got hurt! I almost got smacked after telling Ma it looked like she was fighting off a swarm of bees. I tried to take a few pictures or a video of the day but was told that it would be a big mistake on my part.

She didn't catch anything but got her line out a little better as the day went on. I was afraid she might get discouraged and go back to her worm can. But instead she's decided to prove she can do it.
