Do you love big bluegill?
I recently moved to a new city here in the grand ole state of Wisconsin and can't seem to find gills anywhere and Lake Link has been no help. All the locals fish for Pike and Bass which isn't terrible but panfish are more of a staple food in my household.. I'm at my wits end searching and searching to no avail, so what's a fella to do?

Thanks Dave and JB, I live in West Bend but I drive up to Kettle Moraine Lake in Dundee. I don't own a boat so it's one of the only fesible places to fish for me, pike lake is nice if you can get out there but from shore it's not so hot. I hope to continue to find some good spots around the area, used to live in Fond du Lac so if all else fails I cold just go back to Winnebago but it's a haul. Thanks again for all the tips!
I fished Nemahbin once years ago with my uncle on a family trip back to Wisconsin. I could see loads of fish in every pocket as we passed over weedbeds, but I couldn't convince him to stop the boat and fish there, and since he was paying for the boat I had to go along with where he wanted to fish. Since we finished the day with not a single fish, well, he should have listened to me :-)
Pike lake in Hartford has some nice panfish, crappie, perch, bluegills.
Beaver Dam also. You may have to travel some, Nagawicka, Pewaukee, Nemahbins (upper, lower).
Thanks for the tips
There should be loads of state native sunfish there including Bluegills, Green Sunfish, Rock Bass, Pumpkinseed, Black Crappie, and Warmouth. Maybe find some type of map that shows where state owned river boat landings are at and start there. If you don't own a boat, then try fishing from the banks at these areas or maybe try finding a state park with a fishing area.
