Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

i love my pond and it's fun to go out and chunk a minnow and drag in a fish within the first 10 min The kids want to come out all the time now and help pawpaw fish.
But looking at pictures and reading post I'm ready to hit the river and the lake to catch some fish.
my son and I are going out this weekend where the river feed into Lake Conroe,
he's been catching crappie just as easy as I'm catching these bass in my pond. Gotta get me some fishing for fish and not just to manage the pond. No crappie in the pond need to get some for a fish fry foe the kids.

Will I missed last weekend. Son having a kid and then the floating island thing can into my head. Now this weekend temp will be in the 70's and found a new spot by the lake I'm planning on checking out.
That is if mawmaw don't come up with some type of honey-do thing.
