Documenting BG Spawning Dates across the Country

Hi All -

I've been looking forward to BG Spawning coming up, and I got to wondering where they were already spawning. Realizing its already probably to late in some areas - I thought it would be neat if other posters could chime in with dates they first notice Active Breeding of Bluegill and the general location in the country.

Still probably 3-4 weeks away for me - Who has active, spawing BG right now?

Saw First spawning behavior on our Pond today. Lakes are still behind - but May 25 looks to be "1st Spawning behavior" for me this year.

I found a few spawning today, a lot full of eggs, only seen a few beds, the bass are on the beds big time though.

Gill's've been on the beds here for at least the last month, up in 6"-2' of water. Been having a blast!

Oh yea were fishing 2 to 3ft flats in cut outs along the banks with surrounding waters 8ft to 13ft. Crickets are the ticket!

67 degree water, 6 to 8 ft crystal clear water. I only found a couple but I was like wow cause it was in march. Aprils full moon showed lots and lots of females with eggs. Where into our first quarter and heading into the full moon now by friday and It has officially started. Bulls are in full colors females are both slap full of eggs and finding ones that have already dropped. Water temps are 73 to 75 degrees and our daytime highs are low 80s
