Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Ok guys (and girls) need a little input. My new lake house has a nice big deck on the back of the house.

I’m going to redo the steel with metal studs so I can add paneling. Build brick flower bed and repaint support. My question is the deck it self. I need to stain it, seal it or something.

What can I put down that will look good and last a long time. Remember I’m not really into work, so it needs to be easy enough that Mama can do it with my supervision.

Do you have mosquittos down there, I thought all the mosquitos in the world were at my house , just down from the rice fields?

Also, I would close in the deck with screen so you can sit out there in the summer without mosquito visitors. In that case, you need to also close off underneath the deck so they can't come up and get you.

Anything you paint on it will wear off and look worn. I would leave it alone myself. What's wrong with natural wood deck? People love wooden decks.

Thompson water seal with stain already in it, you can roll it on or spray it with a pump up sprayer, you can find product at any big retail warehouse, may need to do it again in three years, silicone doesn't last. Get your wife a strap for the sprayer , you dont want her to get tired too quick.
