I'm from Nebraska, Lance. I love your home page. It rocks!
  • Lance A. Cashler

I thought you were. I saw palm trees in one of your photos and didn't think Nebraska had them. Never been there, but it looks like a great state.
  • Jim Gronaw

Hey Lance...what's really wierd this year is that all of our big fish have come from public waters...2 small community owned lakes and one larger, county own facility that has lots of recreational options at it. I believe that great, untapped bluegilling is right at our fingertips if we would all take the time to look. I see people walking past 10 and 11 in redears to catch 12 to 14 in bass..and they think they are getting the better end of the deal!!! Go figure?!?!

Anyway, keep your eyes peeled and those 10 inchers will show up where you least expect them. Good Luck!
  • Bill "Musky" Modica

Cool tunes.....I say if there is to be metal....it needs to be heavy metal!
  • John Sheehan

    Lance!-
I went fishin with Arty Cole today (a damn skunkin except for a willin' 5" Red Breasted Sunfish that hit a small Krocodile spoon tipped with a rancid piece of Nightcrawler)) I told him you are a BB so I didn't forget..HA HA!! Check out Arty on this site!
  • Lance A. Cashler

    Desperately seeking Arty.
  • Bruce Condello

You may not realize it, but you are personally responsible for a lot of the good vibe coming from this site. You're the exact reason it was created.
  • John Sheehan

Carley -Your dad is lucky to be your father and you are lucky to have a personal photographer .Insist that he not doctor the photos so you're fish look bigger. You're a big girl and you dont need that kind of help!Ha Ha!! You can catch lunkers fair and square! Tell your dad ,he's great for me!
  • Patrick "Bullworm" Olson

Lance, It is very refreshing to see that heavy metal is still alive!! I've been a metal head my whole life and will continue to be! Good metal and huge bluegills.....well, its like peanut butter and jelly, my friend!! Always throwin horns!!!!
  • Patrick "Bullworm" Olson

I could not agree with you more, metal brothern! Cleaning fish to some Walk, gets things done in a hurry!
  • John Sheehan

LOL! I gotta say the Bomber I use is a bait that tracks 4-6 ft' and suspended fish cant resist it. I have most success trolling the Bomber crawfish pattern in stained water. You gotta chart some suspended fish and then run over them with this thing.
  • Patrick "Bullworm" Olson

Come on over Bro!!! Bring that broom and icefishing gear! I have two Clams and the Jiffy 10incher!!!! Could be good times this winter!
  • Howard Webster

    Hey Lance

Somewhere down the line I'm sure there's a connection. Wish i knew. Who wouldn't want to fish for a living!!!
  • John Sheehan

Thanks for asking Lance ...stay in touch!Gimme some shots of your fish.
  • John Sheehan

    Hey Lance -
What kind of Catfish are you catching.? I've been meaning to go fishing for Bullheads but haven't done it yet this year.I use hotdog pieces and catch 6&1/2 "ers to 14&1/2 "ers when I go for them at my small lake Cupsaw.Check my map ID for Cupsaw.
  • Bruce Condello

I am a dentist, who studied fisheries sciences in undergraduate. I am also an aquaculturist, so I read relentlessly about raising fish. I'm also a moderator on Pond Boss forums, so I get to spend a lot of time discussing pond biology. But no, I'm not an actual fisheries biologist. Even if I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express I wouldn't qualify. :-)
  • IceWarriorGill

Hey Lance, thanks for the kind words about my RedBreast Sunfish!!! He put up quite the fight!!!
  • IceWarriorGill

Hey Lance, if you're ever in NY (or Upstate NY--Adirondacks, etc) definitely give me a shout before you come and we'll try to get together and knock some Big Guys out!!!! They are certainly fun to catch and I may be wrong....but I think the big ones hit harder and fight just a little bit harder than a big Bull Gill of equal size!!!!
  • Jeff Hayford

Funny, my son is the same way. Pretty independent for an 8yr old.

I see that you live in an area with an abundance of all fish species to target. Nothing like a Steelhead, Salmon, and Bluegill fish addiction.

I hit the Manistee pretty heavy after the so called fisherman leave in the fall and stay at it until the so called Steelhead fisherman show up in the spring.
  • robert jackson

    those are some nice cats
  • robert jackson

    and congradulations
  • Patrick "Bullworm" Olson

Thanks Lance for the comments! Have you been out at all lately? Classes have started now and the fishing will be alot less for a whlie for me. I'll check in frequently though!
  • IceWarriorGill

Hey Lance, Thanks for your nice comment on my Crappie!!! Hey Bro, I gotta get you up here to see some of the great NY fishin spots we have!!! Tight Lines!!!
  • Bruce Condello

    I'm here....visiting your page! It's a great page.
  • Patrick "Bullworm" Olson

Hey ya old bud! School is going good! Busy, busy!! It snowed here last night, got about 2 inches! Hole drillin' time soon! Good to hear from ya!
  • Patrick "Bullworm" Olson

I'm pretty jealous!!! Had to have been a great show! Then perch fishing afterwards....you must have a brain of steel! Mine would implode!!! I have pretty much called it quits for the open water season. Getting the ice gear ready now! Take care!
  • Greg McWilliams

Thank You, Lance. In the lake I fish back in1950,51 and 52, yellow perch were introduced in sevral of the lakes. The care taker of the lake caught one 5 or 6 yrs. ago. I want to catch one, so I appreciate the info.
ThisLong Hair Redneck likes your site and music.
  • Jim Gronaw

Hey Lance...our ice is sporadic...thick enough at Deep Creek in western Md but too thin in my central Md area. Down state Delaware has no ice, and they are getting bass and crappies there. see ya Jim
  • Bruce Condello

I had to send you this one because I don't have enough credits!
  • Patrick "Bullworm" Olson

Hey Bro! I just a video up! You will love the sound track and the fishin is pretty darn good! Enjoy!
  • Greg McWilliams

Hi Lance, Sounds like fishing has been good for you. It has been above freezing here for a week. 50's and 60 and still have ice on the ponds and lakes. I believe the ice was thick enough to fish on. A rancher here said when he broke the ice for his cattle, it was 8" thick. But my momma taught me in a loving way do not go out on the ice in Okla. A lesson I will never forget. Keep posting pics. I ought to be able to fish by this weekend.
  • Jim Gronaw

Hey Lance...I don't care what anybody says...I think you're funny! lol!
  • John Sheehan

Lance you're a pal! No I didnt know this trick.
Just got back from 3 hrs ice fishin' close by at the Monksville Reservoir. Two deadsticking rods ,two tipups with shiners, and one jigging rod. I caught one 4" blue gill with a half eaten tail.He hit my tinest jig tipped with a waxie.I want to catch what was chasin' him! This mid ice is really beating me .Saw a guy jig a few gills like I caught .Talked to three guys out most the day that claimed they got skunked. One guy told me where he was catching Perch but said they were small.
  • Ed Harmon

Hi Lance Marshall Mi. is about 12 miles east of Battle Creek. The son and I was out this morning and caught 23 gills. No redears today. Ed
  • Ed Harmon

Lance I don't believe the redears was stocked here. The lakes I am fishing are not lakes someone would stock. There are a lot of lakes in Southern Michigan that have redears. I think they cross bread on there on. Just my thinking.
