Picked up two of these baits in Frog and Shiner patterns .I think the smallies will want them . http://www.matzuo.com/spitnsputter

Love when that happens .It's been a lousy start for me, gone trout fishing twice and got skunked but explored new areas with brother Greg today so all is not lost when you see and analyze "new "water . Hope to do some smallie fishing soon .

I use clear goo,  that you use a blue uv light to cure I also have loon uv glue both I use for fly tying.

Well I trust you Sleepy ,you being an avid smallie angler from Maine and what I consider Smallmouth Country . Whats UV glue?  I use gorilla glue for fishing

Comment by Mark Sleeper on March 19, 2015 at 3:16pm

yes they last longer, I'm sold on their products I've caught huge bass on them I bought the o ring tool to wacky rig them, I just use uv glue on the weed guard to stop it from unraveling where it is wound on the hook.

Comment by John Sheehan on March 19, 2015 at 1:30pm

Mark ,that's a hefty price , do they really last 10x as long as softer baits,  and how do you hook them to keep them from flying off the hook when a jumping summer bass  is going nuts trying to get off !?
