Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Does anyone use bloodworms, I've heard they work great but cant seem to get the hang of it. If anybody has any suggestions i would be grateful.

They are hard to find around here, but on a recent trip to MN I pick some up and they preform great. I used a Genz Worm and was fishing in 16'. Put 3 or so of them on and would catch 6 to 8 fish before I would need to freshn it up. They really hold on to the hook because of thier very tough skin. After a hour or so they may fade to a lighter pink or white, so I would just add one to brighten it up. Fish them just like you would fish any wax worm. We limited out each of the 3 days we fished with that setup, but they where biting, I would of liked to try some Gulp or something else just to see if it was the blood worms or if the fish would hit anything, but all we had where them Euro-Larve.
