These are what we call babits probally spelled wrong The black and red was given to me from a fellow who had grown up in Michigan his dad had made them that was about 30 years ago. I am going to assume babitts is a slang term for ice jig. Many of the small bait shops sell them in various colers and size.
Corn grubs is just a off white maggot that they sell in local bait shops usally in 35 mm film cans and sawdust they will live if kept cool a long time freezing them will kill them. I mostly catch pearch on the ice.

I like tiny glow in the dark ice jigs (1/64, 1/80, 1/100oz) tipped with wax worms!!!!
