Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Hi folks, Just wanted to share a visit I had with the Bay de Noc Lure Company. As most of you "chuckers" know, that's where the Swedish Pimple and many other spoon-type lures have been hammered out since before 1955 and are still being made basically the same way ever since. The 2nd generation has stepped in to continue the tradition but the 83 year old founders are still coming in and doing their part just to keep the youngin's in line! The local minister even stopped in to pay a visit as my youngest brother and I were shown how things were done. Being a tool and die maker it was all very interesting to always see a new process in this vast trade I've been in since 1968. They are still refining their process which any good manufacturing operation must do to stay one step ahead of the competition as well as altering their product enough to always have something new to catch new customers. I'd like to take this opportunity to "Thank them" for taking time out of their day to show us around. If you ever get up to the Gladstone area, I think you'd be impressed with what they are doing up there. My only regret was I forgot my camera before the visit. And yes, I did come away with another pile of Pimples cause one can never have too many! Haaaaaaaa! Enclosed is a picture of some of the walleyes my brother and I took home. The 30"er will be going on my wall someday in the future. Sincerely, Bob
