Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Here's my kayak!

Malibu Mini-X Kayak. I love it!
Its only 9 ft 3 " but width is 33.5" is good for me on kayak balancing! Weight is about 38 lbs that I can carry it on top of my Honda CRV without any problem. I added 2 rod holders, 3 rodholders with storgae, anchor and depth finder. I test across 6 inch of water with weeds is no trouble at all and it can take me to where boat can't go!
Someday plan to upgrade better depth finder and anchor system. I can use my kayak out to openwater and use two rods for deepwater monster bluegills!
Good kayak brand name is Ocean Kayak, Hobie, Cobra Kayaks, Malibu Kayaks and several other. I picked Malibu Mini- X , that's match for what I needed! Small, light weight and out to hard to reach spots or able to openwater lakes!

Good website about kayak is

I got Kayak Angler magazine and it come out at near your bookstore or order in the website above.

Nice kayak stuff in

Lot more that you can find in www.google.com

Sat on tops is popular, self draning andunsinkable in surf! Easy to hop in, wade, stand, and fish side-saddle.

If you want to buy a good sat on top kayak then do your homework before to buy one! It took me two years to buy Malibu Mini X Kayak because I don't want to waste of my money and I also want make sure that I use it often for a long time!

Have fun to go out to fish for monster 'gills!

i like your boat, looks like a fishing boat.
Congrats, John! Mini-X is a good fishin' yak. I'm using an OK Prowler13 (old style). Not quite as stable as yours, and it's 13"+, but it works for me. Of course, I haul it on a trailer, but the trailer also hauls all my other gear, leaving room in the vehicle for other people, cooler for long trip, etc.

Voice of experience here: practice deep water re-entries! There are two kinds of yakkers: those who've turtled, and those who WILL. :-)
Hi Charles ..... thanks!
I did a lot of my homework on sat on kayak until I picked Mini X that I able to put on top of my Honda CRV myself and wide is 34 inch is better for me!
