Well it only took a couple of days to get my bench full of stuff again, but the production was worthwhile...Poppers for the weekend!

GREAT looking poppers

Bill, GREAT JOB!!!! I ALWAYS THOUGHT A CLEAN TYING TABLE WAS HIGHLY OVERRATED!!!!!!!!

Hi Bill, Can you tell a little bit about your poppers?

Size, dimensions of the popper bodies, and how you hollow the nose????

Thank you.

Hooks ...Mustad 33903 popper hook 6,8, 10

Bodies...Rainey's small popper....bass pro shops

Tail...calf tail...white, yellow, olive, black, red

Hackle...any color dry fly hackle

Rubber legs...I buy bass jig skirts in the bargin bin

I super glue the bodies on the hook

tie on the tail....a small clump of calf tail the length of the hook shank

tie in two hackle feathers and wind them forward and tie off right behind the poppper

tie in two legs on each side and whip finish at the back of the popper.

Thank you for the info.  I'm always looking for different ideas and to learn a new way of doing things.

Once again Thank you and the poppers look great.

That's a fine looking "mess" you got on your table, Bill. I know they will catch a bunch of gills.

WELL how many cocktails did it take to make those fine poppers? I really like the yellow, but its what the gills like.
