Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I have four ponds that I can fish that are loaded with the brutes. I have caught a few that were over 2 lbs. They pull so hard, you think you have hooked a nice Catfish. (see attached)...Don in SC

Enjoyed it Donald......great coppers......

You know just what I mean.........That is one "scrappy" fish. I think it even has the Red-Ear beat.....Don

Those are some beautiful coppernose, Donald!

Thanks......I am fortunate to have such a good place to fish for them, where do you find them in Tenn.?

I have a pond management business and have stocked them in several ponds I manage.  The large coppernose that I have posted photos of all came from ponds I guide on for trophy bluegill.

Sounds like a good business. I had never seen Copper-heads in SC until I got permission to fish these four ponds outside of Columbia. Those fish are the most fun you can have with an ultralight flyrod. I wish the wildlife people would stock them in the public lakes........Don in SC
