Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I live in Kansas City Area of Mo. Have been fishing for gills as long as I can remember. I must have used over 10k crickets and worms in that time. Started tying jigs at a young age and gave it up for a decade or so. Started back last year found this site while searching for techniques on how to catch big gills. I am now on a quest to break the 1lb mark. A lot of fertile resevoirs close to me that are no longer "new" lakes. As far as I know besides a few folks bluegill are not even chased on the lakes except for using them as catfish bait.

Hey Tom...they all look great!!! Heck, I'd even go for them if I was a gill!!
are you fishing these with a fly rod, and if so what weight fly rod, and what size hooks are you using? they do look tempting!

no they are all fished on spinning equipment with supplemented weight
