Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I'm having some vacation time starting on the 25th and is also very close to my 50th birthday and I was thinking on taking a road trip

where would you go? would love to go to CA,AZ or somewhere north to fish for 2 or 3 days for sunfish. would there be fishing guides that fish for bluegills?

Please let me know your thoughts

If you're open to traveling to the South, I offer guided trips on several of the ponds I manage.

Thanks for responding, I'm pretty open for anything . where south? I'm in texas

I'm in middle Tennessee, forty miles south of Nashville.  If you've never been to the Volunteer state, it's about as beautiful as a place can get in my opinion - rolling hills, lots of green (trees everywhere) - and some pretty big bluegill in the right places.  I've been seeing a couple bull 'gills in one of the ponds I manage that are at least 11", and I think they might be 12" or better - they're big 'uns.  I haven't fished that pond since March either so it should be prime.

You might want to try Lake Perris. We've been catching some really nice BG and RE.
