Start bed fishing with red ice jig tipped with bee moth under a small cork 3 to 4 ft deep . Cast up against cattails or shore line brush. After the bedding is over fish outside weed or moss line some where arround 18 to 20 ft deep. Rig up small red jig or a fire tigger ice jig use 1/4 oz splitshot about 12 ins up tip with 1/2 nightcraler or beemoth. Cast up to deep weed line lit bait sink to bottom work in slow hops back to boat . If you are getting moss on bait slow roll jig high enought to keep clean .
Did someone stock these "old gravel pits"? If not, how do the fish get in there? I have a small pond created by an underground spring. It has been there for years, and there is not a desirable fish in it. Lots of frogs, snakes, and the mosquito fish I put in.
