Do you love big bluegill?
i'm in a quandary here. i plan on picking up another rod to be used primarily for gills. i currently own a st. croix premier 6' light power rod as well as a 6' gander mt. ul rod (ugh). i thought about a st. croix premier 6' ul, but they seem a bit whippy. any ideas or advice.

OUTSTANDING TONY AND this story would have qualified for the GOOD OLE DAYS buddy and is right on the money!!!! The only company nowadays that does that old style service is St. Croix as far as I know.
tony,my first graphite was a berkley lightning rod ultralight 1 piece black foam handle.got it in the early 80s.the early infisherman days.think it was 5'6" about 5 now after being retipped a few times.handle is more elecrtical tape than foam now.that rod went every where from florida to canada .1000s of fish were caught on it including a 9 lb bass and 8 lb walleye.2 0r 3 hundred canadian smallmouths.perch from lake michigan monster gills from strip mines.it has no taper just a low modules graphite blank that worked like magic for me.have never seen another one like it.for years it was like a part of my body especially for live bait or finesse type fishing which around here is most of it.it is somewhere in a closet but now it's going on my wall.a much better trophy than any mounted fish.
