Have you had a chance to try this recipe yet? Curious whether you liked it or not.
I wish i could say I had Pat but the weirdest thing happened the day that I wrote this. Some random guy walked up with a rake in his hand, Knocked on the door and said he needed work to buy supper. He had 3 kids at home and was recently layed off. I replied I have no work but ive got a mess of squirrels in the freezer if you wanna . He lit up and said thank you
Good for you!
Speaking as one who has been blessed to have seen the wonders of people giving to other people out of the goodness of their hearts, I thank you for helping this gentleman.
My son-in-law recently suffered a disabling injury in an auto accident and if not for the unselfishness of the entire family, church members and co-workers, they might have lost their home and most of their belongings.
Donations of food, money and sick leave from co-workers has enabled him to continue to provide for their growing family.
He will be in a wheel chair for the rest of his life, but his spiritual beliefs and don't quit attitude will get him through it.

God bless you and keep your family safe.

Pay it forward... it will pay you back!

Pat
head'em gut'em and fry them whole i have never eaten the flesh of any animal that didnt taste better when cooked on the bone
Here, the big secret to frying fish is something called "Drake" seasoning or meal. If ya gotta add seasoning the next secret is "Gullah Luv", a low country seasoning from the Carolina's. steve b
We like our bluegill and crappie fillets done this way. Mix 1/2 box golden dipped fish fry mix with 1/2 box golden dipped cajun fish fry mix, and dust with lowery's season salt. Dip fillets in milk and egg, coat and fry in peanut oil at 315 -325 deg. until golden brown. Mix miracle whip and sweet relish with a little splenda, and add a squirt of kraft horseradish, stir and serve. Not to hot or mild, and everyone seems to love this blend. Had fish fry for the seniors at church twice, and they ask when I'm gonna do it again. Only thing I had left was an empty pan.
sounds like a lil diff. kick. Awsume!
My wife showed me a simple recipe for a beer batter.Mix regular flour and beer until thickened like a pancake mix.Season with salt and pepper while mixing.

Cover filets/small filet pieces and fry in vegetable oil.

I use Marie's Jalepena ranch as a dipping sauce or Tabasco sauce on the plate.
towel dry fillets coat with corn starch dip into well beaten egg and then into crushed cheeto cheese puffs drop into hot till done cheetos makes a crunchy cheesy coating yum
Here is one of my favorites and it works on about any white fish we have tried and the kids love it to.

Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 pound fresh or frozen bluegill fillets, thawed
Directions:
Place butter in a shallow dish. In another shallow dish, combine bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese and seasonings. Dip fillets in butter, then coat with crumb mixture.
Place in a greased 15-in. x 10-in. x 1-in. baking pan. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 20 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork.
I like to scale& gut, pack their belly with wild onion run a stick through the mouth out the tail and cook over the fire.
