I don't remember how old I was when I started, but I was hooked. I try to fish every day, if not then I am out 5 or 6 days a week. Trial and error is how I learned. After I met my wife I learned a lot from her dad.
Most of the good things I know, I have learned on my own. I read a lot about the fish i am trying to catch to try and understand them a little better.
