Finally got back out on the water

Record cold has really slowed the fishing here in southwest Florida.

I got out for the first time in three weeks on Thursday. Hit Lake Manatee. Conditions were good, with the wind about 8 mph out of the east.

I caught one small bluegill early on, then had to work very hard to get another. I caught a hand-sized bluegill on a nymph a couple of hours later.

That was it for the day.
