Do you love big bluegill?
Being somewhat of a wildlife artist myself, I thought I'd share with everyone a couple of excellent books that feature wonderful water-color paintings of fish, primarily trout. James Prosek was only 19 when he wrote and illustrated "Trout- An illustrated History", back in 1996. He has since publish other great books, but one of my favorites is his "Trout of the World' with 100 paintings of every kind of trout, from all over the world. There are trout that I never have even heard of before, like the "Sharp-nosed Lenok, or the crazy looking "Miyabeiwana", from Japan. James actually traveled all over the world to find and photograph these fish, as references for his outstanding water color paintings. The text information on each fish is excellent too. This book would make a great Christmas gift for any fisherman.
Now if only James would do a book called "Sunfish"... Hmmm, I wonder....
