Ok thanks. Now how do i edit the original post through mobile?

Nice fish! they look like they have been feeding well

Very nice BGK. I saw these last night on PB, they are quite impressive!  A couple of things stand out in my mind here:

This is further proof of what a feeding program can accomplish. Especially when coupled with a high quality feed.

Bruce has mentioned here before that he feels the Northern strain BG can achieve comparable size when compared to a Coppernose. In my opinion, photos like these lend credence to that belief. Perhaps the Coppernose may grow faster, but ultimate size potential may be as yet undecided.

Proper management techniques, specifically the culling of smaller BG and most females, along with maintaining a high density of LMB can pay big dividends.

I thought I read somewhere coppernose grow faster but northerns live longer..

Northern bluegill in northern climes outlive any bluegill, even northern-strain, ones that live in southern regions, according to what I've read.  Where you are, coppernose would either die, or be so stressed for half the year from cold water that they wouldn't do well.

Do you have any idea how old these brutes you posted photos of are?  How long have you had the pond?

Ponds 31 yrs old never managed after initial stocking.. Been managed for about 2yrs now.. I added Redear and hybrid stripe bass.. I had a handful of Bruces bluegill given to me a couple years ago 1-3".. The pond has always held big bluegill I'm just taking them too the next level trying to hit that 2lb mark..

Those are some dandy gills.

Fantastic bull 'gills!  Really awesome.

If you go to the main page of the forum, then click on the "Photos" tab at the top right, then once you're in the Photos section click on the "Add+" button at the top right, you can add photos that will automatically appear in the list of photos and also on the "Latest Activity" feed at the right of the page.  You should get these posted there so more people will see them.

There's no easy way to load from an IPhone.. I'd have to individually load each and send each of them to a different emai for each one. l.. I was hoping there was just a code through photobucket like I initially tried..

Here are BGK's pics....
