orange then chartreuse some times yellow

Pink is hot in my area, but olive, brown and cream colors are also good.

Crappie can be fussy over colors at times...I like some chartreuse and black/white and pink/white with sparkle flash or flashabou accent for scale highlights on minnow patterned jigs for them. Olive and light brown get the gills quite often.

I'll use bout any color, but I've been tyin a white bucktail jig with red thread on a plain leadhead for bout 45 yrs an have put nearly 100,000 crappie in the boat with it. so I'm pretty sure the crappie would list it as one of their favorite colors!  LOL! I have to agree with Jim in the previous post on gills, olive an brown (an black)

Roger;; sounds like you use the old doll fly jig!!  yes sir!! its still a great one to!!
