Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Cicinnati Zoo has huge bluegills and manitee in the same tank!

I wanted to mention that the Cincinnati Zoo has an indoor aquarium exhibit that features Manitee but also several huge bluegill and sunfish in my estimation 12 inches and in the two pound range also inhabit the same tank, there are also grass carp, largemouth bass and alligator gar in this aquarium, it is phenominal and surreal and must be seen in person by any bluegill fans out there, our digital camera battery was dead or I'd have pictures to post, it is a must see, it will inspire and stimulate the imagination.. There are several bluegill mounts in the exhibit as well.

I had no idea about this! Does anybody suppose that we can contact the Cincinnati Zoo and ask them to take some photos? You'd think it would be a little free publicity for them. This sounds really cool. Are there any other Big Bluegill members who live in that vicinity?
I live within 50 miles from the cinci zoo. Thats good info that I didn't know! I think I'll gather my sister and her kids and go check this out ASAP. lol..I'll make sure I got my camera charged up. Thanks for lettin us know.
Cleveland Zoo has a wolf exhibit. Its setting is on the edge of a beaver pond. In the pond is...you guessed, some BIG bluegills ! steve b
I am originally from Cincinnati, and went to U.C. Do you know of any better places to fish than the Cincinnati zoo for bluegills? I kind think the zoo administration might not look favorably on fishing in their manatee tank. How about East Fork?

Biggest gars I've ever seen were in a creek outlet to the Ohio River by Point Pleasant - Ulysses S. Grant's childhood homestead.
