Bruce how deep are the ponds you have? Do you ever dredge any of them out?

Thanks Bruce - I look forward to contributing and learning as I go.
Hopefully, our stocked northern native BG will pan out over the next couple years.
I look forward to learning about feeding, and managing decent sized Bluegill.

Not a huge bluegill crowd way up here. Which is fine with me! It's all walleye and more walleye! It's almost "ice time" so you will be seeing some hard water pics soon!

You should have seen the worm it took to entice that critter!

Thanks, Bruce! I was directed here from the FlyAnglersOnline website by my buddy Scott Kershaw.
I'm the 2007 and 2008 President of the Central Iowa Anglers multispecies fishing club. (www.centraliowaanglers.com)

I am familiar with you through my research into information on Wipers. We love that fish here, too!

Its always a pleasure to meet others who are passionate about fish and fishing!

I am often teased about my preference for bluegill fishing, it's widely accepted that bluegill only grow so big in the North, due to the short growing season. I love it when I find a good bite of decent bluegills, which isn't very often since I fish from the bank exclusively. I love to chase bluegill no matter what my friends think. I will continue my quest to catch that Record size one. Keep on bluegilling!

my dad and i love this site. This is a cracker not a bream. Here in North Port FL we fish small damns that flow all the time. we will post more pics.

I love this site! I wish the bluegill up here in New England grew as big as out west or down south! You'll be seeing some reports soon!

Hey Bruce do the waters look familiar on my photo. This bluegill green sunfish cross was just over 8 1/2 inches I think. I took a length on my arm and later measured it. i was using the Condello method, a small jig with a pic of worm. I caught this fish the same place you caught yours at Bobs. Happy Fishing
