man i agree that i love summer. i did have my best day bluegill fishing ever on the day before thanksgiving 2011. it was about 70 and the big gills and redears were absolutely snapping at jigs in about 12-15 feet of water. it was a blast. we caught 45 over 10" that day!!! one 13" and a bunch of 12" redear as well

Growing up in Louisiana I had to kill bugs when I took my new Christmas presents outside!  Good luck to you and your gang this weekend and enjoy those much needed days off too. Time waits on no man.....it'll be cold again before we know it....For now, I'm going to enjoy my favorite time of the year!

No worries Jeffrey! Bluegill fishing is enjoyable all twelve months of the year. I will say though, that I've never had to swat a mosquito or deerfly in January..... having said that, I've got my can of "Off" and I'm fishing this weekend also... Good luck tomorrow!

Fishing can be a distraction but definitely take care of the books....it'll set you up for life! You already know you'll fish forever but how you're going to do it is determined by choices you make along the way......Good luck on your finals and enjoy your fishing trip.....I'm starting tomorrow morning with a coworker and his son! They're coming in from Virginia so we're hoping to have a great day!

I'm going fishing on Saturday for smallmouth or whatever bites really. Then I unfortunately must hit the books... Finals next week! How about you?
