Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Late Fall on the North Carolina Coastal Marsh…..12/4/2021

Bald cypress dropping needles, water low and not moving on this trip…..getting colder down in the high 40s….I caught several perch in a row in one area but it stopped within ten minutes………reports of crappie deeper than ten feet so I didn’t try them on this trip

Hey Mikey-D thanks,  we’ve been up and down on temps so the fishing is always tough when it gets like this…….tried in some of my winter honey holes last weekend but fish weren’t there yet……the perch I caught were shallow as they are getting  ready for the spawn over the winter……..best thing for fishing would be to get cold and stay……

Those perch sure are pretty fish fun to catch to if yawls weather is like ours here and I am sure it is it is tough to get a decent bite we aren't that far apart in miles. Haven't been fishing yet since its gotten cold but after huntin seasons over its game on. Fishin gets good  in January, February around here.
