I'm baking already!  We've cracked the 100 degree mark three times already.

Actually, kayaking isn't all that bad, as long as there's a breeze.  My paddle drips everywhere, so I'm usually a little damp.  As soon as a breeze hits, instant a/c.  I typically only go out in the morning, usually off the water before noon, to avoid the worst of the heat.  Drink lots of water, make sure I've got some food, and I'm set.

No need really Allen, the water is perfect temp wise, sit in a boat and you'll bake

And..and..why are you floating on the tubes?! Would be enjoying more.

I've have to build or buy a kayak cart to wheel the yak from parking to the water.  Unless there are two yakkers, then we could help each other carry the boat.

Actually, if it's grassy all the way, I'd just drag mine.  That's what I usually do anyway.......

Allen, anything that is not motorized. If you have to paddle ot or row it then you are good to go there but you also have to get it there and it is a 300 yard hike form the trailhead to the water.

David, get in your car and drive!! I'll tell you where for a case of night crawlers LOL. Actually, there was a gent there last week from MN and he was using really small spoons, just barely moving them and he was killing them.

Leo, fly rodding in there would be fun and I will tell you there are some monster Bass in there. I saw a guy pull a 8 pound Largemouth out of there Monday fishin for gills.

Next year Tooty. Make sure to use the Chinese water torture to make Dennis spits out the coordinates for this site. You can use my float tube and comb that water with your fly rods.

Canoes, huh?  Do they allow kayaks? :)

Wowwwwww...infestation of REs, BGs, and green..green..gills. Sorry to break the bad news, but I drank all the imported German beer doing paperwork. May need to get a new keg to bring it to you. Hm..nevermind..may need to buy a new keg by the time I get to you.

By the way, do you have the GPS coordinates for this location? I want to tag it, and utilize it as a studying ground, and a visit site as I head to AZ next time, of course, calling you first. I may use this site as an experimental gillie central, dropping a few interesting radio isotopes to make the gills grow a bit larger..oh..3ft should be good?

This area is canoe, float only, no electric or power motors. It is a back bay and that reed line at the top of the picture separates the Colorado River from this back bay which is about the size of a dozen football fields. Of that area there is a small part about 50 yards by 50 yards that is just infested with red Ears, Bluegill, and some huge bass. My two granddaughters and I were the only two there, the water was comfortable and the beer is still at you house Leo, what is wrong with this picture?
