Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Caught this one on a drop-shot rig and a large mealworm for bait. 12.5 inches and 1 lb 14 oz. Still looking for that 2 pounder!

Thanks y'all! I got a 12.75 here last year but did not weigh it. It might have gone 2 lbs. Matt also got a giant last summer that was 12.5...looked heavier than mine but we didn't have the scale that day.

The fish above was 11.25 and weighed 1 pound 7.5 oz. It was more dynamically 'round' in body shape than some of the longer BG x GSF hybrids we have caught. If this fish ever reaches 12 inches or more then I think we might get that 2 pounder.
