Hey Christopher I'll be proud to be on your friends list. Well as to fishing in Illinois that's up for grabs . If ya don't mind traveling a bit from Chi town the best fishing in the state for big bluegills is just south of you bout and hour and a half at Lincoln Trail Lake. It's a small lake bout 150 acres and huge gills and red ears . No limits that I know of there and a great little restaraunt right on the lake.... Also member Jimmy Cosgrove lives only a half hour from ya too ....

never fished beck christopher.but a jig below a float tipped with a waxworm has been working well for the gills on the lakes and ponds i have been fishing out south.try shallow at first and keep the jig moving,twitches or long slow pulls.weather has everything kind of screwed up at the moment
