Hey JW...I fished with Zig back in the winter and we caught a bunch of panfish from the Susquehanna River. He makes jigs for he and his friends, but I gathered that he no longer is in business. Maybe you can request him as a friend and them PM him about it all.
BTW...you are in good bluegill and shellcracker country in the tidewater lakes around Suffolk and Norfolk.
No special 'set up' of any kind JW....Just a ordinary,"run of the mill" point and shoot with the capacity for close-up macro photography and an 18x zoom built in zoom lens...a Panasoninc Lumix DMC-FC18.....certainly not one of your "high end" Cannons or Nikons(which are nice for sure but really don't need one for decent images) plus you don't have to change lenses all the time....this camera has worked well for me for years allready.....more important for a good fish photo is ...lighting....composition....very little "blur"....and numerous other details....which all add up to a decent photo
Hi JW
You can get one of these little boats at Academy Sports. They carry the trolling motors and batteries, and everything else you will need to rig the boat out. You will not regret getting one of these little boats, it is so handy to just drop in the back of your pickup.
Hi JWinpisinger and thank you for your interest. I would think they would be as good as the commercial jigs out there simply because I made them for myself and want them simply to hold up, 95 percent of all my fishing is done with jigs. After they are tied I put at least 6 half hitches in them and coat the thread with head cement or some other finish on the tying thread. I'm always looking for good jig patterns for crappies so maybe down the road you'll see some new and different jigs.
For some reason I OKed you but can't find you in my friend requests addresses. Maybe it takes awhile to update. If not my email address is jeepgeep@hotmail.com.
