Hey Jeff... no, I was not the lucky one to catch that giant from Deep Creek Lake...caught by an 11 yr old Sarah Branahan back in July of 1997...under a dock on bobber and worm combo...real bluecollar stuff. I'll have to get with the MD DNR as this replica was on display at the Catfish Nation Fishing Expo at Woodsboro MD. yesterday , so I took a couple of shots of this amazing fish. It appears that it was likely a female, but was painted up as a male. The fish had a 17 inch girth and was 13 inches long. A photo of the actual fish and Sarah is in the big bluegill photos somewhere, as I saw it not that long ago. I'll try to find out about the taxidermy work. see ya!
Hi Jeff... That would be great mate although I am in need of a new Tube. I've been considering the fat cat with the foam seat. I've heard the inflatable seat has had some issues. You should try and get out with me and my mate Jim Simkins. Jim keeps a nice pontoon at the lake and we get out there whenever we can.
Lake Perris has become a bit of an enigma with the water levels fluctuating as much as they do. Jim and I went out last Saturday and the lake is the lowest I've ever seen it. The fish are still there but finding them is a problem especially with the cold water. Jim knows the lake very well and is one of the finest Bluegill fisherman I know.
We feel we can still catch big bluegill when the water is cold but it's learning how.
Hey i always fish lake perris on a tuesday because on a saturday or sunday Perris is just too busy. My advice would be to go to the back of the island and find some sticks in the water and cast to the outside of them the bigger fish lay on the outside on a bigger small mealworm. Hey if you have any advice on crappie let me know.

hi Jeff
yes that is Puddingstone lake. The picture of bluegill is from
castaic lagoon.
Im still kinda new to float tubing so Im just trying new
lakes to float tube and as im sure you know, around here
not every lake lets you bring a float tube.So I do what
I can =).
Where do u normaly go fishing for bluegill?
A whole new way..............well ,that sounds good, would you like to share?
Do you fish of a boat or shore. I think you can take a float tube on lake Parris.
I was looking into that.
when your on turn up your chat volume. this is what you do, go to the top of the page, click chat on the right (its on the menue bar) then when you get there put up the volume which is next to the smilie face, and the computer volume because the beep is very soft. this is because if someone trys to talk to you the chat volume is on mute. if you want to talk to someon just copy and paste this message.
hi jeff. If you ever want to fish perris, Skinnerd or DVL for those nice gills let me know. I drive trucks across country so, i'm rarley home, but keep in touch.
Ike works best. That was my first trip to DVL. All the panfish we caught were small like the one in the picture. If you want bull gills, go to Skinner or Parris, both are not very far from DVL. We were up there after catfish. http://sdfish.com/index.php/forum/freshwater-reports/86864-diamond-...
Hey Jeff...are you guys getting some of those fish on Sonny's, 'Ledheds' jigs? We just traded some out with each other and I am having good success with some of his patterns...they are excellent!
Jeff the Taxy that mounted my fish is a local young lady here in our little south Georgia town. She's done a Crappie for me also and he's awsome also!!
