    Hi, AAron,
Just realized I complimented the wrong person about this web site. I think it is great and would like to do something similar for wood carvers. I am a founding member of the Kansas City Wood Carver's Club (1972). Gettin' a bit long in the tooth these days - turned 80 on the 29th. I am a retired fisheries biologist (among other disciplines) and retired 15 years ago exactly on the 28th. Early on, I worked for Ohio Division of Wildlife, Fish and Wildlife Service, Environmental Protection Agency, Midwest Research Institute, and retired from Black & Veatch engineering consultants. B&V has become become one of the largest firms in the world now. I was a Senior Environmental Scientist in their Environmental Science and Permitting Section of the Power Division and prepared environmental reports on domestic and foreign clients' projects, mostly power generation or transmission related. Doing environmental studies in Southeast Asia was fascinating!

    That's all for now,
    Loren

Thanks, Aaron. This bass, caught by my son Matt last August, took a live bluegill below a bobber and was 24 in and we guess over 8, maybe 9 lbs. We have caught this fish 3 times, in the spring, she's around 10, but we have never had an official weight because we always want to get her back in the water. This may be a featured photo in the June issue of the In-Fisherman in an article I have upcoming about 'bluecollar bass fishing' during these tough economic times. We had a great year on bass last season, with 61 fish over 5 lbs or 20 inches. This fish was caught in a farmpond less than 5 miles from my house.
