Hey Bryce...thanks for the nice compliments...For these jigs, I first tie on the tail of either maribou or what ever hackle is available, then I anchor a small length of hackle on the shaft of the hook, winding from the back to the front of the jig. I then coat the shaft/hackle-wrap with Krazy Glue...takes 3 minutes to dry and secure the hackle. Then, wrapping in the same direction of the thread wrap. wrap the hackle forward to the head of the jig and secure by wrapping the thread over the end of the hackle several times before snipping the hackle off tight to the jig and then building the head with build up of the thread. Top it off with a dab of Krazy glue...brush on .
Try it a few times and you'll get the knack...hackle pliers make it easier too. Hope this all makes sense. Jim
