Unless you're plan on making the legs so life like that they can walk on water, and be used in the museum as a decorative piece under the Realism Exhibit, I believe you already master this pattern and its effectiveness.
Looks like you need to record yourself tying these flies. The now..and the mastered. Once you start fishing from heaven 30 years from now, you better pass on the knowledge of these buggers to us new retirees.
those legs are fine ,rubber legs are cheap and easy but don't move like natural feathers.i can see these getting slammed on the weed edges next spring.you are really a good tier dick
Jim the body is made with dubbing. I don't use wire to wrap but I use 6lb test fire line instead to wrap the body and give it segmentation. Then I go over the top with clear cure goo and set it with a UV light.
Sorry Jim I forgot an important step I went down each side of the abdomen with lead then wrapped that with lead again. Flattened that with plies to make the body flat then wrapped with the dubbing.
The small dragonfly nymph I made last year worked good for me I match it out from one I got out of the my pond. Since then I found larger one's so I made these to replicate them. I hope they will work and I think they will.
