Nice info, Jeffrey! Up here my main Crappie habits have been wood cover near deep water and willow tree or branches from oak trees blown down in shallow water.
Thanks John…..being in the south we’re always drawn to cypress trees and the underwater network of knees and roots, but my clear number two wood be a willow tree especially down near deeper water , the limbs are forgiving on a flooded willow unlike a cypress that can avoid decay for years……but as you stated John….crappie love wood in the water…..
