Can bluegills and crappie still be found in the shallows at this time of the year?

Bluegills I would say more so than Crappie but lately I'm fishing steep banks where they have access to somewhat deeper holes . Haven't run into numbers of Crappie this year but in years past November and December can be good from shore for Crappie and even better for Yellow Perch .
