I know this sounds strange, but vintage equipment like fiberglass rods still have a place! We can talk shop and discuss why some vintage gear is just as good (if not better) than the new stuff.
Another stroll down Memories Lane here folks....The top three rods are all Wonderods of course and my favorites because of durability , and child hood memories..... Bottom one is a little ultra light I couldn't resist yesterday. 5' long and has some back bone for a little rod, it's a no name but nicely built....... THE TOP one is a SPB 140 5'6" ULTRA LIGHT THE MIDDLE ONE IS A "BACK COUNTRY SPECIAL" 5'10" , REAL HARD TO FIND
THE BOTTOM ONE IS A "COHO SPECIAL" 8' LONG AND REALLY NICE
I guess the real value of this old stuff is it takes me back to an earlier day .When I was a kid I"d stop almost every Sat. after my paper route at the local Ace Hardware store in La Salle Illinois. For a kid who liked to fish it was an amazing place with rack after rack of Wonderods, Garcia rods, and of course Heddon rods . In the show case were HUNDREDS of lures of all descriptions from Creek Chub, Heddon, Arbogast, Red Eye, Lazy Ike, and of course my favorites L & S lures. Oh boy does it bring back memories of times gone by ........
